Yesterday, calm...........today, not so much. Ahead of Hermine, 3 off-shore boats sailed out. Anglers brought in a limit of dolphin and released 10 sailfish.
Near-Shore anglers brought in good numbers of spanish macs and blues this morning and In-Shore anglers, pulled in 4 cobia, 1 amberjack, 12 albacore, and a variety of other catches as well.

The calm before another storm produced some really good fishing today! Anglers off-shore pulled in limits of yellow-fin tuna, some very nice wahoo, and limits of dolphin. There were also multiple billfish releases. Congrats to Timothy VanBuren for his trophy citation wahoo, weighing in at 49 lbs and to Shawn Clark for his trophy citation wahoo, weighing 40 lbs! Near-Shore boats enjoyed catches of spanish macs, some ribbonfish, king macs, albacore, and a shark.
In-Shore boats had busy trips today, with anglers reeling in good numbers of speckled trout, flounder, and stripers.
This Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat had some really interesting fishing both trips, with anglers reeling in flounder, sea bass, sea mullet, pigfish, pinfish, sea robin, pufferfish and catch and release puppy drum.

Thankful the forecasters were wrong about yesterday's weather event! While most all of our off-shore boats stayed home, 1 boat, along with a few boats from neighboring marinas, ventured out for a day of billfishing. Anglers released 1 blue marlin and 2 white marlin today.
Near-Shore and In-Shore anglers enjoyed good numbers of speckled trout, flounder, albacore, and some spot.
The Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat had good fishing both trips today, with anglers pulling in nice keeper flounder, sea mullet, trout, sea bass, croaker, spot, pigfish, and pinfish.

Today was the calm before the storm. The weather was simply beautiful! Our offshore charters had a great day of fishing. We saw several limits of Yellow Fin Tuna so we will have some happy anglers at the dinner table tonight! The boats also brought in a great number of Mahi Mahi and some Black Fin Tuna also. Our fishermen and women are bringing back their stories of fighting the Sailfish and Marlins also, which are all being released back into the deep blue sea. Congratulations to Kara Everett on her catch and release of a Sailfish. Congratulations also go out to Rachel Kuhn and Penny Prather for their Sailfish catch and releases!! Congratulations ladies! The Near Shore charter boat anglers caught a nice number of Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel and Albacore on the half day charters that were booked. Our charters that fished In Shore had another great day of catching beautiful Speckled Trout, some boats catching their limit. We also had a good number of King Mackerel and Albacore. Cobia was also brought to the docks today by our In Shore charter boats. The Miss Oregon Inlet plans on sailing 2 trips tomorrow, the first leaving the docks at 7:00 am and the afternoon trip leaving at noon. We had a couple boats that sailed today. We also had 6 boats that came back from the Virginia Beach Bill Fish Tournament. Congratulations to the Rigged Up for placing 2nd in that tournament. We also had a 9 year old, Aaron Stewart, that fished today and caught a 86lb white marlin. We also had a limit of yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna and tile fish. The near shore boats caught bluefish and Spanish mackerel. We had 2 cobias on inshore one being a citation, along with albacores and bonitas.

Our Offshore charter boats brought in some nice hefty meat fish this afternoon. Several nice Wahoo were brought in along with some limits of Dolphin. We also saw plenty of Black Fin Tuna and a few Yellow Fin Tuna are still being caught. The flags were flying high again today with a good number of Sailfish caught and released. Congratulations to the following gentlemen who caught some beautiful Sailfish; Jeremy Hunley, Stephen Nielsen, Robert Oglesby and Jonas Goins. Flags were waving in the late summer breeze on the ride in and some very nice meat were coming out of the boxes today. Several of our Offshore charters didn't make it out this morning due to the high winds and rough seas. We had several that braved the sea and made their way through the Inlet. The boats saw a lot of billfish today and were able to catch a few here and there. We had White Marlin, Blue Marlin and Sailfish reeled in. We saw Mahi Mahi brought back to the docks and we also saw a few Yellow Fin Tuna. The Near Shore boats had a great day of fishing today. They brought in some nice Bluefish and Albacore and several Spanish Mackerel. The Inshore charters caught some beautiful Speckled Trout, with some of the boats catching their limit. We also had some great Amberjack fishing. The Miss Oregon Inlet had a good day. They caught a great variety of fish, including Sea Mullet, Founder, Gray Trout, Spot, Sea Robin, Bluefish, Pig Fish and Pin Fish. Today at Oregon Inlet the fleet went sailing and brought back some yellowfin, limit of tiles and one citation tile. We had a total of 126 bill fish caught. There were 60 sails, 16 blue marlins, 50 white marlins and 4 grand slams. The grand slam boats were Bi-Op-Sea, Fishin Frenzy, Hooker and Legacy.
The near shore boats had great blue fish and amberjacks. Our inshore boats had great red drum releases.

It definitely was a good day for Billfish catch and releases. Either the recent full moon or maybe it was that lucky water spout!! The Offshore charters caught and released over 40 billfish total. The boats caught a variety of White Marlin, Blue Marlin and Sailfish. Congratulations to the following anglers: White Marlins were caught by Quynh Phuong, Robert Kennedy, Clay Cooper, John Brooks Jr, Damitru Enciu, Sorin Mihalcea, Landon Copeland, Matthew Dixon, Charles Rodgers, Kham Xayachack, Justin Dotson, Kevin Lorey (who also caught a Sailfish), Christopher Kurz, Robert Kurz and Jerry Murphy Jr. Sailfish were caught by Angela Heilig, Kacie Hunt, Matthew Shields, Grant Crutchley, Clay Cooper, Stephen Crutchley, Christopher Kurz and Tom Xaylachack. Blue Marlin catch and releases were by Salih Eryaz, Christopher Kurz and Grant Crutchley. The Offshore boats also saw Dolphin action along with limits of Tilefish.
