Yet another windy day for the off-shore and near-shore boats. In-Shore boats fished this morning, but the bite was a little slow.
We are still looking for improvement in the weather toward mid-week and hope to have a couple of make-up charters assembled. Log on to our homepage and submit your request to be included, www.oregon-inlet.com.
There is good availability across the fleet for your private charter. Give us a call and let us get you booked 1-800-272-5199.
It certainly wasn't the worst weather we've seen this year, but it was still pretty windy. Oh, that's right, it is fall here on the Outer Banks and we've seen our first little cold snap today. It was bound to happen eventually, right?
With winds and swell in the double digits off-shore, our captains and anglers chose to stay on land today. We hope to see some improvement in a couple of days. We are working on a make-up charter, maybe two, for mid-week. Log on to our homepage and submit your request.

Our anglers enjoyed beautiful, mild weather today for their day of fishing.
We only had offshore boats out today, and they just returned back with their catches. There was a lot of yellowfin tuna today, some boats had their limits. We also had a citation wahoo weighing in at 52 lbs., blackfin tuna and sailfish releases.
Today was a beautiful Fall day for fishing, offshore or inshore.
We had six offshore boats leave the marina this morning and they certainly returned with a mixed bag catch! There were blackfin tuna, dolphin, wahoo and king mackeral. There was also sailfish, blue marlin and a shark released.
One of the sailfish was released by Mr. Jeff Robinson of Carmel, Indiana, who received a citation for his catch.
We also had an inshore catch of striped bass, bluefish and a shark. This was a special trip for Mr.& Mrs. Graf, who were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. Congratulations to the happy couple!
Well, it is fishing, right? Off-Shore anglers brought some nice black-fin tuna back to the docks. Anglers also had catches of some very small yellow-fins, which were released.

So nice to have a couple of good fishing reports coming in from the off-shore anglers. 3 boats sailed today and anglers enjoyed nice catches of black-fin tuna, a few yellow-fin tuna and some trophy citation wahoo. Congrats to Nicholas Roebuck for his 41 pound wahoo! Nice job!

Today started out with a very chilly morning, however that did not hamper our anglers enthusiasm for their day of fishing.
Our offshore fleet arrived back with catches of Blackfin Tuna, scattered Yellowfin Tuna, King Mackeral and citation Wahoo.
Michael Meczkowski brought in a 61 lb. Wahoo, Leonard Meczkowski had a 41 lb.Wahoo and William Nearhood had a 52 pounder.
Inshore trips had some striped bass.
A tad bit quiet on the marine radio today. Anglers fishing with our In-Shore captains enjoyed some good action in and around the sounds and the inlet. One In- shore boat had good keeper striped bass this morning as well as some catch and release striped bass and puppydrum.
We are still hopeful for some improvement in off-shore conditions this weekend........our captains are ready to go fishin'!!

Off-Shore winds and sea heights kept those anglers on land today. Fingers crossed for a little more cooperation from the Mother Nature.
In-Shore anglers ventured out for some good action back in the sounds and had keeper stripers, trout, and puppydrum.

Looks like the winds got us again today! Let's hope for improvement in conditions so our anglers can get to some fishin'!!

Not a friendly ocean today, but it didn't keep our In-Shore anglers at the docks. Anglers enjoyed some interesting fishing and were handsomely rewarded with 3 very nice keeper puppy drum.
