The weather was beautiful today for our 19 offshore boats that set out this morning. They returned with a diversified catch of predominantly Black Fin Tuna, but there were also scattered Yellow Fin, Dolphin, Tile, Amberjack and a 25 pound Wahoo. There was also a 40 pound citation Wahoo caught by Mr. Jefferson Davis of Danville, Va.
Our near shore boats had excellent catches this morning of Bluefish and some Spanish Mackerel.
Inshore boats had Albacore and Speckled Trout.

It's a WAHOO!!! kinda day! Anglers enjoyed some really good wahoo catches ranging in weights from 26 pounds to trophy citation weighs over 40 pounds! Congrats to Mark Riccini for landing a 46 pound beast today! Nice work! Anglers also pulled in good numbers of black-fin tuna, some king mackerel, with a few mahi mahi and yellow-fin tuna as well.
Near-Shore anglers enjoyed some great bluefish action today and landed a few albacore as well.

Today was a beautiful Fall day for fishing. We had nine offshore boats out today and they all returned with lots of blackfin tuna, spotty yellowfin tuna and some wahoo.
We had two citation wahoo brought in, one 53 pounder was caught by Mr. Michael Edwards of China Grove, NC, and a 44 pounder belonged to Mr James Pistulka of Keswick, VA.
We also had catches of puppy drum, speckled trout and and a striped bass brought in by one of our inshore boats.
Please remember October 31st is the last day for our headboat, Miss Oregon Inlet, for the season.
As a special treat, this Saturday, 10/29/16, all adults will be charged the children's rate of $38.00. On October 31st everyone who shows up in a costume for Halloween will be charged half price for the trip.

Going through the Inlet was a little bit rough this morning but we had several of our Offshore boats that made it through and ended up with some nice catches. The charters reeled in a good amount of nice Yellow Fin Tuna and also had Black Fin Tuna in the mix. King Mackerel were caught on some of the boats along with quite a few Wahoo. Congratulations to Hayden Saling who caught and released a Sailfish today. Also, Congratulations go out to Donald Roberts, Jonathan Lentz, along with Jeff, Joe and Rob who caught some nice Citation Black Fin Tuna; one weighing 26 pounds and the second weighing 20 pounds! Congratulations guys! The Near Shore charters have not made it through the Inlet in the past few days but it looks like the weather will start cooperating later this week. In Shore boats had a good day of fishing. They brought in Puppy Drum, Flounder and Stripers. The Miss Oregon Inlet is looking for people who want to have a fun-filled half day of fishing. There were also some yellow-fin tuna and some nice black- fin tuna, including 1 trophy citation catch by Mark Glovier, weighing in at 28.05 pounds! Nice work! A couple of anglers pulled in some nice wahoo, with 1 weighing in at 37 pounds, just shy of trophy citation!

We are so lovin' this weather!! The captains are working the acres, harvesting some nice catches for our anglers. Off-Shore anglers reeled in good numbers of yellow-fin tuna and black-fin tuna. There were also good numbers of mahi mahi and a few wahoo today as well.
Near-Shore anglers eeked out a catch of blues out of some messy water today. The bite was a bit better today than yesterday and as the ocean settles, we are hopeful to see continued improvement.
In-Shore anglers enjoyed catches of red drum and black drum today and a few blues. Fishing was an improvement in the sounds and channels today versus conditions yesterday.
The Captain of the Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat also noted improvement in conditions in and around the inlet. Anglers pulled in sea mullet, croaker, gray trout, sea bass, pigfish, rays, and some blue crab.

We were honored to welcome some wonderful V.I.P.'s today aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet as anglers participated in the annual Lion's Club V.I.P. tournament! Matthew has come and gone and the fishing is just as spectacular as it was before the storm. The Offshore charters are bringing in an abundant number of Yellow Fin Tuna to the docks, most of them hitting their limit or very close to it. They are also still catching a good number of Mahi Mahi. We had Wahoo brought in this afternoon also. The Near Shore and In Shore charter boats also saw a terrific day of fishing. They are catching some nice Puppy Drum and some Release Red Drum. They also reeled in some beautiful Specked Trout and several Keeper Flounder. Stripers were also caught today, but were released. After all the ugly weather, we had a great day of fishing at Oregon Inlet. Limits of yellowfin tuna on all our off shore boats along with dolphin and wahoo. We also had 8 sail fish releases. On our inshore front they had great puppy drum catches.

The Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat ventured out to the Inlet soundside for a little fishing this morning for the first time since the storm passed. Fishing was a bit slow, but catches included sea mullet, black sea bass, pigfish, and pinfish. There are still tickets available for Saturday 15th A.M. trip and good availability next week. South End of Bonner Bridge Report: Anglers report a variety of catches with quite a few keepers including red drum, speckled trout, and puppy drum. Red drum photo caught and released last night after a 1 hour battle.
In all the buzz about Matthew, the opening of striper season slipped right by us!! While today's catch weren't quite keepers, our In-Shore captains are ready to take you fishing for some amazing tablefare!! These specks will be hitting the grill for sure this evening!
