Today we had only one offshore trip, as it was quite windy. The boat returned early with a great catch of nineteen gaffer dolphin. Tomorrow we look forward to another good day of fishing with twelve offshore boats and two nearshore boats going out. Good catches of dolphin were brought in by the boats today. Also caught, scattered wahoo including a 93# citation by Eric Butler from Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. Make-up charters are available for nearshore and offshore fishing. Our headboat,"MISS OREGON INLET", will start running trips for the 2012 season on Tuesday May 1st. Offshore boats came back with good catches of Dolphin, Wahoo as well as a scattered Yellowfin bite. There were also three Blue Marlin Releases. Nearshore boats had a great catch and release this morning of Sea Bass. Inshore boats fishing in the sound had good catches of Bluefish.
Today was an exceptional day of fishing here at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. We had thirteen boats go offshore fishing and they all returned with huge catches of yellowfin tuna. There was also a good amount of wahoo brought in, one of which weighed 73 pounds. Scattered dolphin, blackfin tuna and a mako shark were caught as well.

Today was a lucky Friday the 13th at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. We had thirteen offshore boats go out today and they returned with great catches of yellowfin tuna, wahoo and also some dolphin. Tomorrow we look forward to another good day of fishing with eleven offshore boats going out.
The beautiful weather today made for a great Easter Sunday and a fantastic day of fishing here at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. We had twelve offshore boats leave the marina this morning and they all arrived back early in the afternoon with limits of yellowfin tuna, some wahoo and a 115 lb. mako shark. It looks like we can expect a great week of fishing for our holiday visitors.
